Lucky Raffle Winners Bring Home Xootr Scooters at PS 89 Talent Show
On May 18th, Public School 89 in Battery Park NYC had its 15th annual Talent Show. The show had over 135 children performing and for the last 5 years, Xootr has been a proud sponsor of the event, donating two Xootr MG Scooters to the fundraising raffle. A Xootr Scooter winner was announced after each Act of the show, and those lucky folks joined the expanding team of Xootr enthusiasts in Lower Manhattan. All the proceeds from the raffle go to supporting music and the arts at PS 89.
New York City and Urban Transportation
When Michael Dattoma, who runs the PS 89 Talent Show, was asked why the Xootr was so popular as a raffle item he said, “ I am the ultimate Xootr advocate, I have 5 of them hanging near my front door, as do many of my friends. They are the ultimate urban vehicle for our entire family and we are so happy and thankful that they support our wonderful school.”
He continues by noting that “everywhere you go in Battery Park and Tribeca, you see adults and kids alike zipping around on their Xootr scooters. They are so well built, they handle the rough and tumble street of NYC. They are convenient to grab when you are on the run and a bike or your feet just won’t do. They conveniently fold and can be brought with you anywhere you go, including the subway. They are also the perfect vehicle for parents and kids to make all the short trips around the neighborhood you make every day, whether it’s Whole Foods, a soccer practice up at Pier 40, a basketball game at Chelsea Piers, or just a leisurely ride along Hudson River Park, the Xootr just makes living in the city easier.”
Thanks Michael and New York! Xootr is proud to support education, music, arts, and green urban transportation!
