Parts Inventory
Although we try to minimize our parts inventory, we want to make sure that we have the parts in stock when we need to build scooters. Therefore we keep some inventory of all of our parts, and a fair bit of inventory of parts that take a long time to replenish.
For example, we can replenish deck inventory quickly, so we keep a relatively small amount (less than 100 units) as shown here. On the other hand, the extrusions from which we make the lower steer tube of the Xootr takes several weeks to replenish, and so we hold quite a bit of extrusion stock in inventory.
