Fender Installation Instructions

Tools Required: 10mm wrench, Phillips head screwdriver, 3mm allen wrench

We ship your fender kit with as many of the pieces installed as possible. This is how it looks when we ship it, but some pieces may have fallen out of place during shipping. Your fender kit should include the following: a front and rear fender (the rear is the larger one), 4 stainless steel stays, 4 black rubber tops, 4 stay screws with nylock nuts, 4 5mm screws and washers, a zip tie, and a black 6mm bolt with washer and nut.

Place the front fender on the front tire with the mudflap on the rear of the tire. The metal tab that sticks up attaches to the fork. The tab should be on the front side of the fork. Insert the 6mm bolt through the tab and through the hole in the fork. Place the washer and nut on the opposite side and hand tighten.

Position the stays so that the eye hole is at the bottom of the fork. The black rubber topper on the stay should keep it from fallin through the stay screw. Remove 2 5mm screws and washers from the bag. Attach the stay to the fork with the screw. Do not over tighten the screw yet, just snug it up to keep the fender in place.

Snug the nuts on the stay screw with a 10mm wrench. Position the fender where you like and tighten all nuts and screws. This may take a little tinkering as the fender may move a bit as you tighten a nut or screw on one side.

Now onto the rear. Remove the 2 rear dropout fasteners (one on each side) with a 3mm allen wrench.

Place the rear fender on the tire, again with the mudflap on the rear of the tire. Attach the stays to the rear dropout just as you did in the front with the remaining 5mm screws. Snug the nut on the stay screw just as you did in the front as well.

Thread the zip tie through the hole in the bottom of the rear drop out (just in front of the rear tire).

Now thread the zip tie through the hole in the bottom of the fender. Pull the zip tie tight to secure the front of the fender to the frame. Position the fender where you like and tighten the nuts and screws. Now pat yourself on the back, gaze at your new fenders and have a drink of your choice. Happy riding!
