Swift Folding Bike Specifications

We've worked really hard to make the hard choices for you. The Swift comes in one basic configuration, which is going to work really well for the vast majority of riders. We don't see the point in making you choose components down to the spoke nipples. There is pretty much a right answer on most of the component choices, and we believe we've found it. Having said that, the Swift is the most readily configured folder out there, so you can easily swap out seats, pedals, tires, headsets, pretty much anything. We adhere quite dogmatically to industry standards. You won't find a lot of whacky parts on this bike.

Swift folding bicycle TrusFold frame Frame. 6061-T6 custom-profiled aluminum tubing, TIG welded. Patented TrusFold system for maximum frame rigidity. Horizontal dropouts with replaceable derailleur hanger. CroMoly straight taper fork.

Dropout dimensions. The rear dropout has horizontal slots so it can accommodate a single-speed or internal-gear hub as well as a hub with a cassette/derailleur. It is spaced at 132.5mm so it can be compressed slightly for 130mm hubs or spread slightly for 135mm hubs. This means is fits pretty much any standard road, mountain or hybrid hub in common use.

"Braze ons". The rear dropout has 2 tapped holes for M5 fasteners, which are for racks, fenders, etc. We insert two fasteners in there for aesthetic reasons, shown at left. The front dropouts also have M5 holes for fender mounting.

Weight. 11.3 kgs (25 lbs.).
Note: this is inherently a very light bike due to the structural efficiency of the TrusFold frame system. We do equip it stock with some rugged 65psi tires and tubes, which actually adds almost 2 lbs (1 kg) to the weight. We also equip the Swift with a generous saddle. If you want to skimp on weight, just put on a lightweight tire/tube set and a racing saddle.
